Thought it would be a good idea to create a thread for people to discuss movies.

I just saw Transformers 2 the other day and I have to say, it is the most epic movie I have ever seen!!! What does everyone else think?

she gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her or something, I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention.

Gonna probably go see Transformers tomorrow. I really liked the first and I thought it was sick. Don't know what to expect for this one but I bet it's cool. So far this year I've only seen Star Trek. Well made movie but I'd give a 6 1/2 out of 10. IMO nothing is ever gonna beat The Dark Knight of last summer. That was insane.

I agree with you on the Dark Knight. There won't be a movie as good as that for a very long time.

Yeah it was sick. The Joker is like, holy shitt. Such an intense film. First time I ever really left the theater and said "that was the best movie I've ever seen." Anyway that 2012 movie is coming out in November. Looks scary haha. God I hope that movie is wrong lol.

So far this year Ive seen:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Star Trek
and Transformers 2

X-Men:
Pretty good I guess. Awesome albeit a little ridiculous action scenes but hey, thats hollywood. The only reason i liked the original 3 is this one only focused on one person really, the others showed you stories for everyone. other than that it was awesome. Deadpool was sick BTW.

Star trek:
...I used to be one of the ST geeks that sent normal people running to the hills (yes I've seen every single ST episode made unfortunately). up until now i had "abstained" from star trek for over a year. Then i see this new movie is coming out, im reluctant to see it but i decide, " w.e ill try it out".
WOW, not what I expected at all! If you have any stereotypes that are keeping you from seeing this move IGNORE IT! This was completely different from any star trek episode or movie i have ever seen. Just go thinking of it as your average sci-fi action movie. It wasn't ridiculously corny like the old ones (PHASERS ON STUN!!) lol. It was just a good all-around movie IMO. p.s. there is a cameo by Leonard Nimoy, dont be frightened.

Transformers 2:
this movie absolutely DESTROYS the other two. BEST MOVIE I HAVE SEEN ALL YEAR! Megan Fox, nuff said. aside from that it had: Awesome cars (09' Camaro, GM Volt, Corvette Centennial Concept, Audi R8, and lots of others), lots of funny parts, and nearly nonstop action! Just a note though, If you're gonna see it, dont go to a late showing. It was REALLY long. me and my brother got to the movies to see it at 12:40p and we ended up leaving at 3:20!

I thought the Dark Knight was quite good, but I'm hesitant to say I really loved it. Maybe it just wasn't my type of movie -- but for what it was, it was brilliant.

Haven't seen the Transformers movie, don't plan to. A friend told me it was frankly pathetic, save for a few decent action scenes. But then, I guess you only see Transformers for the action.

I saw Seven Pounds on a plane a couple months ago, and I must say I though it was truly fantastic. It was painfully sad -- hard to imagine a darker plot. But I thought it was brilliantly crafted and I really thought Will Smith's acting was fantastic. Best movie he's ever done, imo, and one of the best I've seen recently.

I'd like to see the new Angels and Demons -- I've got a friend who has a part in it. Who's seen it? Any good?

CarKid: I've seen Angels and Demons. Quite a good movie. I've also seen Transformers 2. I agree it was good, but not quite epic. Megan Fox is always good though ;). Also the cars in it were awesome.

There are few things in life I enjoy.........one being girls.........the other being cars.

Reece, you're 10. I highly doubt you saw an R-rated movie. It's not so cool to be caught bluffing.

Dunno what you guys think of older movies or directors but I really like some movies from guys like Quinton Terintino (dunno if I spelt his name right) and also Stanly Kubrick....
Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, Resoviour Dogs,

Then other movies which I rate as Epic and Must See's are Reqium For A Dream, Trainspotting, American Beauty and of course, the best of all.....

Horton Hears a Who ha ha ha ha (that was like my best animated film of last year....

Well thats getting a bit heated.........

I watch way too many movies......In fact im watching 300 again for about the 15th time as i type this lol

Recently went to see:

Transformers 2, I thought it was quite good

Terminator Salvation, Appalling just appalling.....a few nice scenes in it but i really dont see why they have left it open for another to be made......

Drag Me To Hell, Quite good, more a comedy than a horror.........
